That's fine if that's your policy, but don't lie about it. Turns out he lied and they charged us for an extra night anyway. We decided to cut our trip short and stay at a hotel that wasn't awful (Best Western Plus, it's fantastic) and the person at the front desk advised us that we would not be charged for the nights we didn't stay. They also only had one pancake of a pillow for each person on the uncomfortable bed and there were stains on the comforter. What is a huge deal is when the person who brings you a new remote does so two hours after you ask for it and wakes you and your wife up when he calls the room phone to get you to come get it at 1:30 in the morning. Our TV remote was also out of batteries, which isn't a huge deal. There weren't any advanced measures because the basic cleaning measures weren't even done. ![]() That's pretty important, especially during COVID and when you advertise that you're taking advanced cleaning measure to ensure safety. The room had someone else's hair in the sink and tub when we arrived, meaning the room was not cleaned as well as it should have been. Really just a bad experience in almost every way.
